Work in collaboration with regulators and scientific bodies for harmonized food laws that ensure availability of safe and hygienic food for consumers while allowing for innovation.
Support the government’s goal of reducing the systemic food waste, enhance food safety, food security, create demand for products produced in India and continue efforts to build healthy India as well as driving industry growth.
Promote the processed and packaged food industry by communicating the positive aspects of processed foods namely, retaining nutritive value; food safety; long shelf life; convenience and accessibility; creating jobs, substantial value addition to the agricultural produce.
Promote collaboration for scientific and research-based endeavours to improve processes and practices for delivering healthier, safe and hygienic processed & packaged food products.
